Choose from ice climbing, snowshoeing, back country skiing or fat biking.

We offer 2 hour rentals either at our on-location Riverside Adventure Trails or at destinations around the Muskoka region. We have adventures suitable for all ages and skill levels, from total beginners to experts! Enjoy Muskoka and get outside this winter with LivOutside.

Guided Winter Tours

Our guided winter adventures offer the opportunity to experience outdoor winter activities like ice climbing, fat biking, skiing and snowshoeing, with instruction and support from an experienced guide. Our instructors are carefully chosen from our area’s outdoor community. They have deep backgrounds in outdoor recreation, safety, environmental awareness and having fun outdoors.

Fat Biking

Dashing through the woods on a 2-wheeled, open sleigh? Come discover cycling in a new season with our Winter Fat Tire Bikes! Through years of riding them ourselves we have developed our own network of groomed, single-track cycling trails through our Muskoka woods. These giant-tire bikes will have you grinning from ear to ear as you zip through our winter pine and hardwood forest. Very stable and easy to use, anyone can discover this cool new winter sport — even the kids!

Ice Climbing (Private Group)

This Adventure operates regularly on weekends throughout the season or by private group-booking on any day between early January and late March. You may request to join an existing weekend class or request a date and time at any point through the winter season for your private group. We recommend early reservations for Weekend Courses.

Intermediate Ice Climbing

Experience the thrill of climbing 70-100 vertical feet of beautiful chandelier ice clinging to the granite cliffs nestled in the hardwood forests of Muskoka. A long-time hot-spot for Ontario Ice Climbing; Muskoka offers consistently great ice conditions and some of the best routes for beginner to intermediate climbers. This 6 hour adventure is offered every Sunday throughout the winter season.

Intro to Ice Climbing

Liv Outside has been Ice Climbing and offering tours and instruction since 2000, introducing many to the sport over the past 15 years. Our Intro Program was designed for the beginner who wants their first adventure to offer quality instruction and great thrills. We bet it won’t be your last!
