Their Story
IT STARTED IN A GARAGE IN OSCEOLA, WISCONSIN
The company was founded in 1991 by Joe Matuska, a passionate kayaker and outdoor enthusiast who was frustrated by the lack of high-quality paddles on the market.
He started the company in his garage in Osceola, Wisconsin, where he began experimenting with different designs and materials for kayak paddles. He eventually settled on a combination of carbon fiber and fiberglass, which provided a lightweight yet durable paddle that could withstand the rigors of heavy use.
Over the years, Aqua-Bound Paddles has continued to innovate and refine its designs, incorporating new materials and technologies to create some of the most advanced paddles on the market.
