From snow-packed trails to frozen lakes and crisp morning rides, winter offers some of the most rewarding days on a bike. With the right gear, cold conditions become part of the fun.
Adventure Locations

1. Bracebridge Resource Management Centre (BRMC)
Distance from shop: 10 minute drive
The BRMC is a municipal maintained conservation and recreational area that offers winter access for fat biking, snowshoeing, and skin skiing. Trails are maintained and marked, providing safer options for families and less experienced winter athletes.
What to expect:
- Groomed and semi-groomed multi-use trails
- Winter trail maps available online (LINK)
- Natural Crown land
Suitable Adventures: Fat Biking, Skin Skiing, and Snowshoeing
Best for: Family-friendly outings, beginners, experienced users, and anyone looking for a groomed winter recreation area.

2. Trans Canada Trail (Bracebridge Sections)
Distance from shop: Short 1.2km ride or 2 min drive.
The Trans Canada Trail passes through Bracebridge and can be an excellent winter Adventure option.
What to expect:
- Wide, relatively flat trail sections
- Packed snow from winter foot traffic
Suitable Adventures: Fat Biking, Skin Skiing, and Snowshoeing
Best for: Perfect for casual winter riding and those new to fat biking, while also well suited for skin skiing and snowshoeing.

3. Explore Bracebridge Town Center and Wilson's Falls
Distance from shop: 1.5km ride to downtown Bracebridge, 5km ride to Wilson's Falls.
Winter adventures in Bracebridge extend well beyond the trails. The downtown core is home to Bracebridge Falls and offers an easy way to combine outdoor activity with local shops, cafés, and scenic river views. It is perfect for relaxed outings or post adventure exploring. Just a short ride away, Wilson’s Falls along quiet River Road provides another beautiful winter stop worth the trip.
What to expect:
- Cleared sidewalk routes
- Packed snow from winter foot traffic
