We spent years designing, testing, riding and refining this bike. The Rail29 represents the best of what we have learned since launching the Revel brand just three short years ago. We love our Rail 27.5, but 29” wheels, bigger bearings, beefier hardware, and an absurdly well-tuned CBF™ suspension platform make this bike something we are wildly proud of.

We like pedaling uphill almost as much as we like railing down the trail, and this bike’s climbing efficiency is truly impressive for a bike with 155mm of travel. The Rail29 will be right at home on the top of any enduro race track, the bike park, or all day epics in the hills. This bike exudes confidence in any terrain and will have you smiling for miles as you Rail corners and Revel the trail.

The CBF™ focuses the center of curvature in a very finite area on the chainline/top of the chainring, pointing the pedaling forces directly where you want them.

REVEL IS BACK! Enter The Next Chapter

Revel has officially settled into our latest and most exciting chapter to date. After selling the company back in 2021, founder Adam Miller recently bought the company back. We have been working tirelessly to get things back to core of what originally put Revel on the map: The best carbon suspension bikes, titanium adventure bikes, and trying to provide the best customer service in the business.

Culture

BUILDING A LIFE AROUND BIKES

Revel Bikes is an engineering-driven company built by friends obsessed with riding bikes. We are a small team focused on collaboration, balance, and creating the best products we can.

Great bikes don’t come from meetings and spreadsheets (although we have a bunch of those). They come from time on trail debating geometry, kinematics, and materials amongst friends who genuinely care about the ride. We think that process shows in every bicycle we bring to market and in the way we do business.

CANFIELD BALANCED FORMULA

Until now, most suspension systems have focused solely on the instant center. CBF™ focuses on designing rear suspension around the Center of Curvature (CC).

CBF™ points the chain-line and corresponding drive forces around the top of the chainring through 100 percent of the travel. This results in maximum pedaling efficiency regardless of terrain, where you are in the travel, or what kind of power you’re putting down. All the power you put into the pedals goes directly into turning the rear wheel.

CENTER OF CURVATURE (CC)

The Canfield brothers stumbled upon the importance of CC after years of designing big-hit, rampage-ready bikes. The instant center constantly shifts throughout the stroke of suspension in multi-link bikes, causing the rear wheel to depart from the perfect-arc rotation that’s known only to single-pivot bikes (which is a less-than-perfect design for most other suspension criteria).

However, if you connect the rear axle at any point on its path with the ever-changing instant center, the area where all those lines intersect for the entire range of travel is the center of curvature. On most multi-link bikes, the CC changes location in wild ways as the rear wheel moves through travel, sometimes over an area as large as several square feet.
