BEFORE FOUNDER JAMES DERBECKER COULD WALK HE WAS ON THE WATER WITH HIS POP…

The creator of a successful playground roto-molding company. Summers on The Great Lakes were sacred. Exploring the rocky waters, James found a deep sense of peace, freedom and adventure-and he was hooked. Naturally, when it came time to carve his own path, he set out to combine his lifelong love of nature with his entrepreneurial upbringing. In 2001, Crescent Kayaks was born.
