While there is nothing unique or innovative to the design of the Moose it is a quality frame and component spec that will do what you need with no additional flare. What we like is that it is a quality platform the start from and worthy of a few minor upgrades to make it your own. Now all you have to do is make a Moose your own and leave the house, get on the bike and explore the territory that is still unknown to you!

Wheels + Tires
New for 2020 the Moose 1 now has a lighter wheelset with cut out 80mm rims to save rotational weight. These are wrapped in Vee Rubber’s new Bulldozer 4.25″ tires which now have a more agressive tread and stylish Tan Walls! While most bikes in this price point lack a good wheel/tire combo there is no need to upgrade here for the new rider.

Cockpit, Crank and Brakes
The Moose like most bikes priced under $1000 (and some over) are set up with an internal BB and there is nothing wrong with their set up. The crank has a 1x Narrow Wide 28T chainring and it’s solid but if wanting to shave some weight this can be updated to a Raceface Ride crank set or if looking for a lower gearing swap the chainring for a smaller 26 or 24T Chainring. The brakes are cable actuated discs and function well and powerful when set up properly (which we do for in store pick ups). The Handlebars, stem, seatpost and saddle will satisfy but we like that this isn’t where they put their focus on parts as these are usually what you change to make the bike fit you. We offer many affordable parts upgrades here to set up your Moose just to fit you and your style and can be installed in the shop when you pick up or order a bike.
